Welcome

Christian Scharsach has been providing osteopathic and naturopathic care in Berkhamsted and the surrounding area since 1995. Since then the practice has become a well-established health care provider, benefitting from contacts with local GPs, health visitors and practitioners in other health disciplines.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a manual system of diagnosis and treatment that aims to improve the physical functioning of the body.
It aims to increase the mobility of the joints, release excessive tension in the muscles and to promote improved posture. This can reduce pain, increase comfort and make it easier to get on with life.
Cranial Osteopathy
Cranial Osteopathy is a specialist branch of osteopathy. Christian has undergone intensive post-graduate training in its use and has many years’ experience providing this treatment. It is a refined and subtle approach that encourages the release of stresses and tensions throughout the body, including the head. It is gentle yet extremely effective and may be used in a wide range of conditions for people of all ages
Naturopathy
Naturopathy is the system of primary health care which works with the individual’s efforts towards the optimal expression of physiological, physical, and mental/emotional health.
It recognises the Healing Power of Nature or Vis Medicatrix Naturae and that there is a ‘vital force’ or ‘life force’ which drives the self-healing or self-correcting mechanisms of the body.
